Welp, another Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year down with much to be thankful for and much to expect here around the corner. I usually try to stay away from the black Friday thing...a little too hectic for my blood. But I can't help but notice where our priorities are during this time of year. I have learned (through my education in college and in my experiences in the professional world) that when reviewing the priorities of any organization, the tell-tales are not in what they present themselves to be but in what monies they spend and where they are spent.
What monies did you spend this "holiday season"...?

Have Yourself a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
As the major writer for this blog, I want to formally wish you all a Merry Christmas. I also desire to remind you the reason for this season and encourage you not to get lost in the hustle and bustle of some of the traditions we have attached to it. Jesus is the most important Person in human history ... whether He is to be believed as the human manifestation of God or not. 2000 years after His birth, He is still the most discussed person in Human history ... though not currently the most googled (a female singer left unnamed gets that 'honor' ... even our calendar is based off of His life.
Ask anyone close to me what my favorite holiday is and they will tell you ... it's Easter. The traditions in my family are a little different come that time. I do love Christmas, though.
In our home, we have a tradition that my children will grow up in ... we sing the carols that are about Jesus ... we discuss the facts surrounding Jesus' birth .. and we go though every detail of the Biblical accounts in Matthew and Luke concerning His birth. I want them to know... I want everyone to know. They are going to have question .. answer them as best you can .. don't be afraid of the "I don't know" answer ... there are details left out that mankind has marked with tradition ... learn the difference.
I urge you to read them for yourselves ... share them with your family ... and have yourselves a Merry Christmas! God bless you all ...

Is There Hope For Me?? Questions from a Concerned Heart
What happens to us after we die? Is there a Heaven and Hell? If so, what are
they like? Is Hell fire and Heaven paradise? Is there a judgement place?
Nobody is perfect, but I try to be right and do right, I believe in God and I try to follow the golden rule and treat people like I want to be treated, however, I'm not too proud of some of the things I've done in the past - and death scares me because of this. - I don't like pain or suffering, especially if it's for an eternity!
These are good questions .. since God operates only in absolute truth, and is also the Author of all truth, it is important that we are honest and truthful with ourselves (our thoughts and our questions) before we try to approach God or the things of God. Too many people ask questions that they don't really mean in order to mask what is really going on in their heart .. even if those questions could be answered, they would do no good.

When We All Get To Heaven ... Wait ... What?
If everyone is forgiven for their sins - why don't we all go to Heaven?
That's a question people have been tossing around for centuries I'm sure.

Happy Veteran's Day ... Now What?
How do you thank veterans for their service in a meaningful way that doesn't patronize them or their service?
This is a great question. On Veterans Day, institutions and individuals are going to make some form of attempt to honor veterans for their service. Some will be well received, others will cause great pain. As a veteran, I have been asked only a few times over the years questions concerning how to appropriately acknowledge a veteran without crossing lines. This being one of the most awkward days of the year for so many of us, I felt this would be a good post topic.

Flashback: Muslim Relations
"How should we act towards Muslims? Should we feel sorry for them or should we feel anger towards them?"
Oh if this question were that easy to answer.

Be All That You Can Be...
What are your thoughts concerning the debate over the military's policy concerning Christian soldiers sharing their faith?
One of my long-running friends sent me a link a few weeks ago concerning this issue asking for my thoughts. I thought this would be an excellent topic for this site. I asked him if I could use it and he granted me permission (thanks!!) so here goes.

If You Do That, There Will Be Hell To Pay!
What is the "Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit" that the Bible speaks of? I have heard many different definitions preached but none of them agree. Is there a single definition that the Bible teaches that we can all be settled with?

I Don't See Nothing Wrong ...
If it is a sin to have "pre-marital" sex, then what about the ones who aren't or never plan on getting married?
Thank you for your honesty and bravery to ask the question. I appreciate the opportunity to address it.

Suicide and the Court of Public Opinion - Reboot
This is a previous blog entry that I presented some time ago but feel it is extremely relevant now ... so I am rebooting it.
“Can you post a blog or record an episode focusing specifically on suicide? What are your thoughts concerning suicide and whether or not it is an unforgivable sin? Many churches preach that a person who commits suicide will go to hell. Do you agree with this? Please explain.”

Why God Hates ... Rap! (Or Does He?)
Is it necessarily "wrong" to listen to Hip-Hop or R&B?
Great question, can't wait to see the different perspectives on this one!

Find Out What it Means To Who?
What do you do when your family, friends, and associates do not respect your religious beliefs?
Oh the bliss of a new conversion. The feeling of a soul lifted out of the mire to finally discover what freedom tastes like. I remember my conversion clearly. The details are for another time but what is important and very relevant here was the belief that I would simply go back and lead my friends to Christ as I had led them to other regrettable activities. I would soon find that bubble popped.

Suicidal Thoughts - Newest Question
Is it a sin to have suicidal thoughts even though you can't help it?
Anyone who has ever spent any amount of time with me will testify that I am not one who gets very emotional. This, of course, is not necessarily true, I just keep my emotion responses strongly disciplined. But when it comes to suicide, my heart breaks. This is a great question and I thank you, the questioner, for having the bravery to ask.

My Money Now!!! - Newest Question
If a person has borrowed a substantial amount of money, and has not made any effort to repay the other, what should happen next? This is in the neighborhood of thousands of dollars, and three years have passed by. There is no mention of the outstanding bill. However, the borrower has proceeded with a lavish lifestyle of vacations and many unnecessary purchases. There has been a foreclosure on the home of the borrower as well. What should the lender do? It's a large amount of money, and too much time has gone by. I believe it's time to settle, or at least instill a plan to do so. A three year grace period was more than enough.
Oh boy, this is a rough place to be.

Secret Sins - Newest Question!
How do you ask forgiveness for sins in your past that no one knows about?
That's a good question ... most are. We are often rich in logic and intelligent thought when it comes to advice for others but fall short when it comes to our own lives. There is a reason for it. God looked at creation and, seeing man as He made him, He knew man was never going to cut it on our own.

God Help Us All
I know it has been longer than anticipated since I have relaunched the QnA, but this had to be posted. The below video is of Melissa Harris-Perry, an extremely liberal broadcaster who has just been awarded the Maggie Award by, of all groups, Planned Parenthood, for her stance on abortion.

God vs Satan
If God blames Satan for all of our problems in the world,
why would he have created him in the first place? He knows "all"
right (including the future), so why would he just have not created him in the
first place? I read that God killed
2,301,417 people. I also read that Satan only killed 10.
I love challenging questions. This is going to be a good read…

Newest Question: God's Forgiveness
Due to the frantic changes we are experiencing, I do have to apologize for the delay in responses to questions ... but I feel it imperative to reassure you that we are not ending this ministry. You ask the questions, we will answer them. I have a few in line but felt this was a good one to kick back off with.
God teaches us to forgive no matter what, right? Well why did he make such a big deal about Eve eating a piece of fruit?
This is a good question ... I like good questions.
